Noteworthy cases have included acquittal in a high profile Las Vegas murder retrial involving casino heir Lonnie Ted Binion of the Binion Horseshoe, where the annual series of poker tournaments is held (2004); acquittal on murder charges for drowning case in Santa Clara County with Shanghai connections (2005), and a federal retrial for Medical Marijuana Advocate Ed Rosenthal (2007).
