Gayle Gutekunst
Gayle was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and holds
a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University, and a J.D. from
Fordham University. Her practice is devoted largely to criminal
defense at both the federal and state levels, where she handles
juvenile dispositions and adult trials, as well as appeals, writs
and other post-conviction procedures. She has a BV peer review rating.
She is admitted to practice in the state of California, and is
also a member of the following bars: the United States Supreme Court,
the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U. S. District
Court for the Northern District of California, the U. S. District
Court for the Eastern District of California, and the U. S. District
Court of Colorado.
She is a member of the California Public Defenders’ Association,
California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and the National Association
of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She is proficient in German, and has
acquired basic language skills in French, Hungarian and Arabic.
